About Us
The Carroll County Children’s Fund helps low-income families give their children all the necessary ingredients for good health—and a great future.
Founded in 1983 by Karl M. Green, M.D., a local pediatrician, the Carroll County Children’s Fund (CCCF) provides essential medical, prescription and dental care to uninsured or underinsured children in Carroll County from birth through age 18. Studies show that children with access to regular medical care are more likely to succeed in school and less likely to get sick. Because their families are less stressed about paying for health care, their home life improves as well.
The organization is run by unpaid volunteers and an elected board of directors. Eligibility for services is determined by the Carroll County Health Department. To find out if you qualify, please contact the department directly, at 410-876-4900.
Since we receive no federal or State funding, the CCCF depends entirely on in-kind donations, grants, and proceeds raised at our annual fundraising event, The Carroll Culinary Experience, to support our vital programs and services.
